Renewing a Drivers License

I have had a really bad day today. I thought for sure that it would be a great day after being able to sleep past 6 am. But as I got ready to go get my new MS license, things started going down hill fast. I finally find the place and see a sign on the door "We Do Not Accept Credit or Debit Cards" ok so I have to drive back into town and go to our bank ATM, I then drive back out there only to have the lady tell me that I have to have another proof of residence (I had to have the whole bill and not just the check stub which by the way had my address and other info on it) I drive back home to get another bill turn around and drive back out to the DMV. I walk in with all of the things I needed, I thought. Since my license had expired I had to get my signature "notarized." They told me to go to the courthouse, so I did. I get to the courthouse and they tell me I need another form of identification and it couldn't be my SS card. So they send me to my bank(which I had been there earlier getting the cash for said license) they told me the same, but the lady was nice and she called the County School System where I am employed. They said whatever it took they would help me get the signature notarized. I finally got my signature notarized and headed back to the DMV. I walk in and sit down, fill out the application to get a new MS drivers license. The woman asked, "Is Chambliss your first name?" I said yes it is. I thought cool, we are gonna get this done. Ha yeah right! She comes back and looks at my application and said, "I thought you said your name was Chambliss. " I said it is. She snatched the application out of my hand and said, "well your license says Chambliss Lauren Roberts." I said that is my maiden name. I am married now. And she said, "Well I am going to have to have your marriage license too, because I have to photo copy all these forms of identification and they will wonder who Chambliss Roberts and Chambliss Howell are." My SS card says Chambliss Howell and my old license says Chambliss Howell. You would think they could make the connection!!!! So I had to leave again to come home and find my marriage certificate, which is not where I remember it being put. I cant get in touch with Josh, so I have to wait until tomorrow to do this all over again, since I have to get Josh to help me look for our certificate. Oh and by the way, if I don't do this by tomorrow then I will have to take the written drivers test again. Ughhhhh.

I'm so tired of it all! I'm mentally exhausted right now.

Until next time....

Crazy Weather

Can you believe this weather that we are having? I mean 70 % and sunny one day and snowing and cold the next. I was wearing shorts when we went to the park with the dogs the other day, and now I am wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt! This is madness! I know its March, and we have had this same weather the past few Marches, but come on! That 70 % s thing was just a teaser! I love 65-70% weather! Its my favorite! O well, I guess when it is 90% outside this summer, I will look back and say, Man I cant wait till cooler weather gets here!
I have picked up a new love for scrapbooking! I scrapbooked all day yesterday and I had a blast. It isnt something that I want to do all the time alone. Its much better if you enjoy it with other people! But I truly had a good time! Josh was at work, so it was just me and the dogs! We sat around and watched the Harry Potter marathon and scrapbooked and napped some! It was a great day! It is a great way to capture your memories! And to take time to organize the page and make it look the way you want it to, is fun! Its also kind of therapeutic for me. I am not the most paitent person in the world, so it helps me with my patience! Its a very good way to spend a rainy kind gloomy day also! Maybe I will put some pics of my pages on here at a later date!

TGIF!

Well I am subbing again today. This time I am subbing for one of the special needs teacher. This is much more rewarding than working for hoodlums that want to drive you crazy. I have had a few press my buttons trying to see how far I will let them go, but they are really good kids. I could see myself doing this in the future. I feel much more positive about my day today. I have had one kid, Dalton, that is the sweetest kid. He has cerebral palsy, a mild case. He depends up everyone for help and he is so gracious about it. It kind of makes me step back and remember to be nicer to people.
We are going to Lawrenceburg this weekend. A friend of mine is having her baby shower tomorrow and my grandmother and I are going. It will be a good time seeing some friends that I havent seen since high school. It will be a fun time! I suer hope Josh has everything ready to go, and all I have to do is pack when I get home!
Well I guess since I am at work I should probably do some more work! I have to figure a few things out before I get ready to finish out the day!

Sustitute Teaching

Today was the first day that I have subbed in a while. It is taking me a bit to get back into the swing of things. I like teaching, but sometimes wonder how these kids are ever going to get by with their bad attitudes. I mean even the young kids have no respect for teachers. I dont know how the disrespect is tolerated. It must start at home. I know I talked back to my parents a bunch, but this is ridiculous. I would have never thought about talking back to a teacher, or authority figure. It just breaks my heart that kids these days dont hav eany respect for adults and each other!
My day has gone pretty well. Im hoping that I get called back for tomorrow and Monday like they say I might! We could really use the money! I am working in the computer lab today which is fun, but its harder than I thought. I remember computer lab being a fun place. Some of the games that these kids are having to play to learn things are hard! Even for me, a College graduate!
I guess that is enough complaining for now!

I went to the doctor yesterday to get blood work done. They are testing my progesterone level to see if I am going to be able to have children. When I went to the doctor in January he was a little worried about Josh and I not being pregnant already. We have been married since November 2008. So the doctor was wondering why we weren't already pregnant. They conclusion from the first round of blood work was that the doctor didn't think that I am ovulating. If you don't ovulate you can't get pregnant. That is where my problems are at this point. I'm waiting to see about this outcome and then we will go from there. The doctor wants to start me on a fertility drug called Clomid, starting in March. So I might be starting it next month, I guess we will just wait and see!

I am supposed to hear the results tomorrow, on Wednesday, so keep us in your prayers! I really would like to try to start our family soon. In a previous post, I stated about wanting to have a family. I feel like it is the right time in our lives. Maybe it is, Maybe it isn't. I guess we will see.
I never thought I would have to battle infertility. No one in my family has ever had a problem with it. O well. The good Lord knows when it will be time for me. I have faith!

Please keep me in thoughts and prayers! Praying for a good turn out!

A fun Saturday Night

Last Thursday was my wonderful Mother-in-law's birthday, so to celebrate my father-in-law took Samantha(MIL), Matthew(BIL) Josh and myself out to eat at Outback in Jackson TN. We were hoping to beat the rush from the usual Saturday night crowd as well as the added rush of Valentine's crowd! So we got to the restaurant what we thought was early. It was 3:30 in the afternoon...smart right...We pull up and if everyone else in the city of Jackson and surrounding areas had the same idea! We went in and put our name on the waiting list and there was no where to stand much less sit. I asked the guy how long it would be and he said about 60-70 mins. Ok OK so an hour was not too bad to wait, so we decided to hang out in the car.
As we sat there and waited fr our name to be called, I saw a girl who looked familiar! She walked in the door and then came back out...then I realized who it was! She was one of my sorority sisters! I opened the car door and yelled KARA!! She looked scared, like how does anyone here know my name! I jumped out and ran to give her a hug. It was so good to see her. I met her boyfriend(hopefully soon to be fiance!).
They decided not to wait to eat, by that time the wait time had grown to 2 hours. We waited only about 20 more minutes and then our name was called! Finally, we were all hungry. Our stomachs were growling! We went in and the hostess was kind of rude to me when I went to return our buzzer thing. I said "Howell, party of 5." And she said "I have Howell party of 2." I looked around at my mother-in-law and she said "Well our buzzer is blinking and Howell party of 5 was called." Then the girl proceeded to ignore us for the next couple of seconds so I said, "We have been waiting for close to 2 hours." And the girl looked right at me and smirked and said, "Its been 1 hour and 15 minutes." Whatever happened to the customer is ALWAYS right. It felt like 2 hours, when we were sitting in the car waiting to eat. We hadnt eaten since breakfast because we thought we would get in fairly quickly! Needless to say, we got our table, a small booth with a chair at the end, but I am not complaining! I got to eat, for Free!! Thanks to my in laws!
I hope my mother-in-law has had a great birthday! I wish her all the happiness in the world! I truly have the best in-laws! I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day tomorrow! Enjoy being with your loved ones!

My Big Girl Life

Josh and I have started getting our medical bills. With me not having a job that stinks. I have never thought I would be without a job. I have ALWAYS had a job. I am currently looking for one to no avail. We live in a house that we pay rent $700 every month. That is CRAZY!
When I was younger I always wanted to be out on my own, now I just want to be married, but have no bills. Wouldn't that be fantastic? Oh to dream! Things would be much better if I could find a job. I waiting on a phone call about a job, if I don't get that then I am going to be going back to substituting. I love subbing. Maybe I missed my calling being a teacher. Or maybe having the same degree as my husband might not have been the best thing. We have so much in common in that respect, but both of us can not get a job in the same field.
I have thought about going to grad school for education. At least I know that I could get a job. With the economy being the way it is, I don't think I will be finding a job that I have my degree in. We are just lucky that Josh is able to keep his job.
O well. I guess we will see where things go with our lives! I certainly hope things take a turn for the better soon!
